This spade head is made of carbon steel. You can install your own handle into this shovel head to fit your need. It is a great tool for digging and transplanting in tight spots where it's sharp edge can cut through tough roots. 

"Clean, dry and oil" --- After use, wash off the mud and debris with water, then allow to dry thoroughly. Spray or apply a bit aerosol oil on top of the surface with a soft cloth. This will protect surfaces from further rusting and keep your tools long lasting.
